According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), domestic wholesale sales of cars to dealers reached 72,667 units in September 2024.
Sales volume decreased by 4.76% month-to-month (mtm) from the previous month's 76,304 units.
In September 2024, Toyota remained the best-selling car brand with wholesale sales of 25,454 units, representing 35% of total national sales.
It was followed by two other Japanese car manufacturers, Daihatsu and Honda, which recorded wholesale sales of 12,676 and 7,926 units, respectively.
Below is a complete list of the top 10 best-selling car brands in Indonesia based on wholesale sales in September 2024:
1. Toyota: 25,454 units
2. Daihatsu: 12,676 units
3. Honda: 7,926 units
4. Mitsubishi Motors: 5,824 units
5. Suzuki: 5,183 units
6. Mitsubishi Fuso: 2,341 units
7. Hino: 2,251 units
8. BYD: 2,075 units
9. Wuling: 2,004 units
10. Isuzu: 1,670 units
Gaikindo also noted that several manufacturers did not record any wholesale sales in September 2024, namely Seres, Peugeot, Tata, Ora, Jeep, and Datsun.
