Chinese car manufacturer DFSK participated in the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Hybrid 2022 held at JIExpo, Jakarta, from March 31 to April 10, 2022.
According to the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), DFSK's wholesale sales in Indonesia reached 10,712 units from January 2018 to February 2022.
In 2021, DFSK's car sales totaled 3,242 units, or 0.04% of total car sales in Indonesia.
This share is not significantly different from the market share of Mazda and Nissan, which have long been established in the domestic automotive market.
In February 2022, DFSK sales reached only 219 units, down 2.67% month-to-month (m-to-m).
Compared to February 2021, sales of this Chinese car manufacturer also decreased by 25% year-on-year (yoy).
Cumulatively, DFSK's wholesale sales reached 444 units during the January-February 2022 period, down 8.64% compared to the same period the previous year (cumulative to cumulative/c-toc).
At IIMS 2022, PT Sokonindo Automobile, the sole distributor of the DFSK brand, launched the Seres SF5.
The Seres SF5 features High Performance Dual Electric Motor technology with an all-wheel-drive system. According to the company, this SUV can reach 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
