PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) recorded sales of 1,992 units during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023, held from August 10-20, 2023.
This sales figure shows a slight increase compared to the previous year's GIIAS, where Honda sold 1,965 units.
The New Honda Brio was the best-selling model, with 485 units sold, representing 24% of Honda's total sales at GIIAS 2023.
Meanwhile, the All New CR-V, officially launched by Honda at the GIIAS, was the second best-selling car, with 385 units sold or 19% of total sales.
A significant portion of Honda's sales also came from its SUV segment products, such as the HR-V, which sold 365 units, followed by the BR-V and WR-V, which sold 340 and 325 units respectively.
"Our latest product, the All New Honda CR-V, was immediately well-received by consumers, while other products like the All New Honda HR-V, BR-V, and WR-V recorded increased sales compared to the previous year," said Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT HPM, Yusak Billy, in a statement on Tuesday (22/8/2023).
It should be noted that all these sales figures represent orders placed at the Honda booth during the GIIAS 2023 exhibition and have fulfilled administrative procedures with a booking fee.
"We hope that this year's GIIAS sales achievement will revitalize the market and trigger a positive trend for automotive sales this year," added Billy.
