The ASEAN Automotive Federation (AAF) reported that car sales in Southeast Asia reached 261,265 units in July 2022.
This figure is down 4.86% month-to-month (m-t-m). In June 2022, car sales in Southeast Asia totaled 274,619 units.
Compared to the previous year, Southeast Asia's car sales increased by 54.7% year-on-year (yoy). In July 2021, car sales in the region amounted to 168,936 units.
By country, the highest number of car sales in Southeast Asia was in Indonesia, reaching 86,256 units or 33% of total car sales in Southeast Asia.
The next highest car sales in Southeast Asia were in Thailand, with 64,033 units. This was followed by Malaysia and Vietnam, which recorded car sales of 48,922 units and 30,254 units, respectively.
