The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) recorded that exports of domestically produced Completely Built-Up (CBU) vehicles reached 26,405 units in May 2022. This figure represents a decrease of approximately 27% compared to the previous month's 36,211 units.
However, CBU vehicle exports still grew by 42.6% compared to the same period last year. In May 2021, Indonesia's CBU vehicle exports totaled 18,515 units.
PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (Daihatsu) was Indonesia's largest CBU vehicle exporter in May 2022, with 9,265 units.
Next, PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia exported 6,369 CBU units last month. PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (Suzuki) followed with a total of 4,282 CBU units exported.
PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia exported 3,099 CBU units. PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia exported 2,360 CBU units.
