PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) recorded 2,540 vehicle order letters (SPK) during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) exhibition held from February 15-25, 2024.
This figure represents a 30% increase compared to the IIMS 2023 event, where they received 1,947 SPKs.
TAM Vice President Director Henry Tanoto stated that this growth was driven by increased sales in the electrified vehicle segment.
"This achievement is a positive signal that the automotive industry, especially electrified vehicles, will grow stronger in the future, simultaneously boosting the national economy," said Henry in his press release on Tuesday (February 17, 2024).
Toyota car orders at IIMS 2024 were dominated by the Kijang Innova Zenix HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) with 411 SPKs.
Other Toyota hybrid vehicles, namely the Yaris Cross HEV, recorded 217 SPKs, followed by the All New Vellfire HEV with 55 SPKs, and the Alphard HEV with 47 SPKs.
Cumulatively, all these hybrid vehicles received 762 SPKs, or 30% of the total orders at IIMS 2024. This figure is a fivefold increase from the IIMS orders last year, which totaled only 150 SPKs.
Popular conventional car models at this year's IIMS included the Avanza, Veloz, and Kijang Innova Zenix Gasoline, with order figures as shown in the graph.
