The Transportation Research and Development Agency (Balitbanghub) survey predicts that 79.4 million people in Indonesia will travel home for Lebaran 2022. 16%, or 13 million, of these are residents of the Jabodetabek area.

The survey also shows that 24.3 million travelers will use land-based public transportation. Therefore, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi urged the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and other stakeholders to repair damaged roads, particularly in Java, to ensure smooth and safe travel for those returning home.
