Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) recorded 5,796 vehicle order letters (SPK) during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023, held from August 10-20, 2023.
The Avanza Veloz was the most popular Toyota model, with a total of 1,213 SPKs, representing 20.9% of Toyota's total orders at GIIAS 2023.
Next was the All New Kijang Innova Zenix, which recorded 828 SPKs, with over 80% of orders being for the hybrid variant. These orders contributed 14.2% to the total.
The Calya followed with 816 SPKs. This Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) model from Toyota contributed 14.1% to the total orders.
Meanwhile, the All New Agya recorded 648 SPKs (11.2%), and the newest model, the All New Alphard, had 382 SPKs (6.6%).
“Thank you to the visitors of GIIAS 2023 who have chosen Toyota as their vehicle of choice at the GIIAS 2023 event,” said TAM Vice President Henry Tanoto in a written statement on Thursday (24/8/2023).
In addition, Toyota also received orders for other models such as the All New Yaris Cross Hybrid, Toyota BZ4X, and RAV4 PHEV GR Sport, with total orders as shown in the graph.
“Seeing the high level of customer confidence and enthusiasm, we hope that the national economy and the automotive industry will grow stronger in the future, while accelerating the move towards carbon neutrality,” said Henry.
