2024 German MotoGP Results: Bagnaia Overtakes Martin to Top the Championship Standings

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia won the 2024 MotoGP race at the Sachsenring circuit in Germany on Sunday (7/7/2024). He completed the 30 laps in 40 minutes and 40.063 seconds.

Initially, the race was led by Jorge Martin. However, with two laps remaining, the Prima Pramac Racing rider crashed at the first corner due to a lowside.

Martin failed to finish and dropped to second place in the 2024 MotoGP standings with 212 points. Bagnaia now leads with 222 points.

Second place in the German race went to Marc Marquez, followed by his teammate and brother, Alex Marquez. This is the first time the Marquez brothers have achieved a joint podium finish in the premier class.

Marc Marquez has 166 points and is in third place in the overall standings.

The next 2024 MotoGP race will be held at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK from August 2-4, 2024.
