Indonesian coffee is one of the most sought-after in the world. Exports of Indonesian coffee continue to be in high demand from several countries globally. As shown in Indonesia's Statistics report, the volume and value of Indonesian coffee exports increased in 2021.
The volume of Indonesian coffee exports reached 380,170 tons in 2021. This figure is up approximately 1.21% compared to the previous year, which was 375,600 tons.
Meanwhile, the value of Indonesian coffee exports amounted to US$842.52 million. This figure increased by approximately 4.11% compared to 2020, which was US$809.20 million.
The United States was the main destination for Indonesian coffee exports in 2021. Recorded exports to the US amounted to 57,690 tons. The value of these exports was US$194.76 million.
Over the past 10 years, the trend shows a decline in both the volume and value of Indonesian coffee exports. The highest volume and value of coffee exports were recorded in 2013, while the lowest were recorded in 2018.
