March 2019, Indonesian Non-Oil and Gas Exports to the European Union Decline

March 2019 non-oil and gas exports reached US$12.93 billion, a 13% increase compared to the previous month but a 9.23% decrease compared to the same month of the previous year. The largest increase in March 2019 non-oil and gas exports compared to February 2019 was in mineral fuels, amounting to US$401.3 million (24.21%), while the largest decrease was in jewelry/precious stones, amounting to US$31.8 million (4.84%).

Considering the main destination countries, there was an increase in non-oil and gas exports in March 2019 compared to February 2019 in all major destination countries. The largest increase in Indonesian non-oil and gas exports was to Taiwan (55.77%), while the smallest increase was to Singapore (0.72%). Overall, total exports to major destination countries increased by 13.30%. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union in March 2019 decreased by 0.61% to US$1.1 billion compared to the previous month. Exports to non-major European Union countries decreased by 8.56%.

China remained the main export destination for Indonesia, reaching US$1.93 billion (Rp 27 trillion), followed by the United States at US$1.38 billion, and Japan at US$1.17 billion.
