2023 Mandalika MotoGP Classification: Bagnaia Extends his Lead at the Top

Ducati Lenovo rider, Francesco Bagnaia, won the 2023 MotoGP race held at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, Indonesia on Sunday (15/10/2023).

Bagnaia started the race from 13th position. Despite this, the rider known as Pecco showed impressive performance, recording a time of 41 minutes 20.2930 seconds.

This was only 0.306 seconds faster than Aprilia rider Maverick Vinales, who finished second.

This win solidified Pecco's lead at the top of the standings, extending his advantage over his rivals with 346 points from the provisional MotoGP standings after 15 rounds.

Meanwhile, Jorge Martin, who had been consistently chasing Bagnaia, was unable to finish the race due to a crash at turn 11 of the Mandalika Circuit.

This incident left Jorge in second place in the provisional standings with 328 points, 18 points behind Bagnaia.

Marco Bezzecchi currently holds third place in the 2023 MotoGP standings with 283 points.

Five races remain in the MotoGP season, with the next race to be held at the Phillip Island Circuit, Australia, on October 20-22.
