Indonesia-Russia Trade is the Largest in Central and Eastern Europe

Indonesia's trade value with Central and Eastern European countries reached US$4.22 billion from January to July 2021. This figure increased by 25.13% compared to the same period the previous year.

Russia was Indonesia's largest trading partner in the region, with a value of US$1.5 billion from January to July 2021. Turkey followed in second place with a trade value of US$1.1 billion during the same period.

Indonesia's trade value with Poland was recorded at US$474 million in the first seven months of this year. Meanwhile, Indonesia's trade value with Ukraine and Belarus amounted to US$397 million and US$129.9 million, respectively.

Georgia's trade value with Indonesia was US$121.7 million. Indonesia's trade value with the Czech Republic and Hungary was US$121.05 million and US$121 million, respectively.

Indonesia's trade value with Romania was recorded at US$92.8 million. Meanwhile, Indonesia's trade value with Bulgaria was US$64.9 million.

Of this value, Indonesia's exports to Central and Eastern European countries were recorded at US$2.7 billion from January to July 2021. This amount increased by 52.37% from the same period the previous year.

Indonesia's main exports to the region include rubber, palm oil, footwear, fishery products, and coffee. Furniture, electronics and components, and textiles were also exported.
