Indonesia's total imports from the European Union reached US$5.2 billion.

Indonesia's import value from January to May 2019 reached US$70.7 billion, comprising US$9.2 billion in oil and gas (migas) imports and US$61.5 billion in non-oil and gas imports. Indonesia's trade relations with the European Union are currently strained due to the imposition of import duties on biodiesel commodities.

Indonesia's imports from European Union countries accounted for 7.29% of total imports, ranking third after imports from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) countries (47.37%) and ASEAN countries (22.39%).

Total Indonesian imports from the European Union in January-May 2019 amounted to US$5.2 billion. The highest imports originated from Germany at US$1.5 billion. Indonesia's imports from Italy totaled US$684.6 million and from France US$562.2 million. The value of Indonesian imports from the European Union in January-May 2019 decreased by 15.73% compared to January-May 2018, which amounted to US$6.1 billion.
