Indonesia's Tea Export Volume in June 2025 Decreases by 1.11%

Based on export-import data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's tea export volume in June 2025 reached 2.84 thousand tons.

This volume decreased by 31.9 tons (1.11%) compared to May 2025 and decreased by 250.8 tons (8.11%) compared to June 2024.

Meanwhile, the tea export volume from January 2025-June 2025 reached 15.34 thousand tons.

Indonesian Tea Export Destination Countries

Malaysia was the largest destination country for tea exports by volume in June 2025.

The export volume to that country reached 808.64 tons, or equivalent to 28.47% of Indonesia's total tea export volume.

The second-ranked destination for Indonesian tea exports was Germany, with 380.31 tons, and the third-ranked was the United States, with 344.9 tons.

Reviewed from the 8 types of tea exported in June 2025, here are the top 5 most exported tea types.

1. Other black tea, fermented, and other partially fermented tea, excluding leaves: 2.23 thousand tons
2. Other green tea (unfermented), leaves: 234.08 tons
3. Other black tea, fermented, and other partially fermented tea, leaves: 233.84 tons
4. Other green tea (unfermented), miscellaneous: 122.81 tons
5. Packaged green tea <= 3 kg, excluding leaves, unfermented: 7.39 tons
