15 Main Countries of Origin for Indonesia's Non-Oil Processing Industry Imports, January 2026

According to the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), the value of Indonesia's non-oil and gas processing industry imports in January 2026 amounted to US$16.32 billion.

This figure plummeted by 10.37% compared to December 2025 (month-to-month/mtm), but surged by 16.27% year-on-year (yoy).

Kemenperin said that the majority of Indonesia's non-oil processing industry imports came from China, which reached US$7.68 billion or 47.09% of the total import value.

Here are the 15 countries of origin of Indonesia's non-oil processing industry imports with the highest value in January 2026:

1. China: US$7.68 billion
2. Japan: US$934.78 million
3. Australia: US$742.43 million
4. South Korea: US$653.22 million
5. Thailand: US$602.66 million
6. Singapore: US$596.02 million
7. France: US$536.44 million
8. United States: US$476.17 million
9. Vietnam: US$471.49 million
10. Malaysia: US$460.76 million
11. India: US$404.25 million
12. Taiwan: US$335.47 million
13. Germany: US$266.04 million
14. Brazil: US$207.99 million
15. Hong Kong: US$165.24 million.

According to Kemenperin, imports from China surged by 24.72% (yoy), Japan plummeted by 18.65% (yoy), Australia soared by 177.72% (yoy), South Korea fell by 5.58% (yoy), and Thailand plummeted by 7.93% (yoy).

By sector, the highest non-oil processing industry imports in January 2026 came from the computer, electronics, and optics sector, worth US$2.56 billion, surging by 28.70% (yoy).

"This sector includes communication equipment, which recorded imports of US$904.39 million, and semiconductors and other electronic components with imports of US$616.24 million," explained Kemenperin in its report.
