Supported by non-fossil fuels, Indonesia's export value is expected to increase by 6.15% by 2025.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia's export value reached US$282.90 billion in 2025. This figure increased by 6.15% compared to the previous year (year-on-year/yoy).

Despite the increase, this achievement still falls short of the government's target of US$294.45 billion.

In detail, the value of non-oil exports amounted to US$269.84 billion, an increase of 13.72% from the previous year (yoy).

"The increase in non-oil export value, especially in the processing industry and agriculture sectors, is cumulative," said BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono in a press release on Monday (2/2/2026).

BPS noted that 9 out of 10 major non-oil commodity groups strengthened. Nickel and its products led the increase by 59.92% (yoy) to US$9.73 billion.

This was followed by animal/vegetable fats and oils, which surged by 43.53% (yoy) to US$34.36 billion, and precious metals and jewelry, which grew by 29.78% to US$11.66 billion.

Meanwhile, the value of oil exports declined by 18.14% (yoy) to US$13.06 billion in 2025.

The decline occurred in crude oil, which fell by 41.17% (mtm) to US$1.55 billion; oil products decreased by 18.07% (mtm) to US$4.15 billion, and natural gas dropped by 11.85% (mtm) to US$7.35 billion.
