China, Indonesia's Top Export Destination for Fruit in 2024

According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia exported 1.23 million tons of fruit in 2024. This volume surged 39% compared to 2023 (year-on-year/yoy).

In line with this, the value of fruit exports in 2024 also increased by 74% (yoy) to US$580.72 million.

In 2024, China was Indonesia's largest export destination for fruit.

Fruit export volume to China reached 455,160 tons, equivalent to 28% of total national exports. The export value amounted to US$235.17 million.

The following is a list of the top 10 export destinations for Indonesian fruit in 2024:

1. China: 455,160 tons (US$235.17 million)

2. Malaysia: 346,940 tons (US$88.56 million)

3. Thailand: 277,300 tons (US$93.6 million)

4. Vietnam: 107,750 tons (US$96.29 million)

5. India: 12,470 tons (US$22.93 million)

6. Singapore: 7,730 tons (US$6.33 million)

7. Hong Kong: 5,440 tons (US$13.9 million)

8. United Arab Emirates (UAE): 4,870 tons (US$5.44 million)

9. Japan: 3,950 tons (US$2.45 million)

10. Nigeria: 4.7 tons (US$967,000)

Besides the 10 countries above, Indonesia also exported 8,650 tons of fruit to other countries, valued at US$15.08 million.
