Indonesia's 2023 Export Value to the European Union: Netherlands Tops the List

According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the European Union has been a trading partner of Indonesia for many years.

In 2023, Indonesian exports to the European Union totaled US$16.65 billion, according to BPS. This represents a 22.44% year-on-year (yoy) decrease from US$21.47 billion in the same period of the previous year.

Exports to the Netherlands were the highest, reaching US$3.86 billion in 2023. Despite being the highest, this figure plummeted by 28.09% (yoy) from US$5.37 billion in 2022.

Next was Germany, with a value of US$2.52 billion. This also decreased by 21.28% (yoy) from US$3.2 billion.

Among the top 11 European Union countries, Finland had the lowest value of Indonesian export earnings, at US$54.9 million in 2023. Other European Union countries accounted for a total of US$1.91 billion during the same period.
