Indonesia's Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, believes the reduced U.S. import tariffs on Indonesian goods present an investment opportunity. He suggests that factories in neighboring countries with higher tariffs may relocate.

Budi stated that he has identified 10 commodities whose production facilities could be relocated to Indonesia. Some of these commodities include footwear and textiles.

"These commodities are among Indonesia's top 10 export products to the United States. We have mapped out which manufacturers in which countries could relocate to Indonesia," Budi said at the DPR building on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
