2024 Thailand MotoGP Results: Bagnaia Closes in on Jorge Martin

Francesco Bagnaia won the 2024 MotoGP at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The Ducati rider completed the 26 laps in 43 minutes and 38.108 seconds.

Jorge Martin finished second, 2.905 seconds behind, and Pedro Acosta completed the podium in third place.

This was Bagnaia's first victory in Thailand with Ducati and his ninth win of the 2024 season.

The race result put Bagnaia in second place in the 2024 MotoGP standings with 436 points. He is now closely trailing his closest rival, Jorge Martin, who leads the standings with 453 points, a difference of 17 points.

Marc Marquez, in third place overall, did not score any points in this race due to a crash on lap 14 while navigating turn 8 at the Buriram Circuit. Before his fall, Marquez was chasing Bagnaia for second place. The Gresini Racing rider now has 356 points.
