Jorge Martin secured first place on the podium at the 2024 MotoGP race in Mandalika, NTB, Indonesia, on Sunday (September 29, 2024). Starting from pole position, the Prima Pramac Racing rider completed the 27 laps in 41 minutes and 4.389 seconds.
This victory comes after Martin's loss at the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP and a crash during the sprint race on Saturday (September 28, 2024).
Red Bull rider Pedro Acosta finished second, 1.404 seconds behind. Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia completed the podium in third place.
This result puts Jorge Martin at the top of the provisional MotoGP standings with 366 points. He further narrowed the gap with Bagnaia, who has 345 points. The difference between them is now 21 points.
Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini and Marc Marquez, who failed to finish, could not add to their points. They remain in third and fourth place with 291 and 288 points respectively.
The next 2024 MotoGP race will be held at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan, from October 4-6, 2024.

In addition, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the Indonesian MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit is confirmed to continue in 2024.
"Next year's MotoGP will continue," Jokowi said after watching the final race of the 2024 MotoGP in Mandalika, as reported by Katadata, Sunday (September 29, 2024).
He said that the preparations for the MotoGP in Indonesia this time were quite good because improvements had been made and supported by complete facilities.
"This event is largely due to the involvement of the local community, such as the marshals who are NTB residents and others," said Jokowi.
