2024 Aragon MotoGP Results: Martin Extends Lead Over Bagnaia

Marc Marquez won the 2024 MotoGP race at the MotorLand Aragon circuit in Spain on Sunday, September 1st, 2024. Starting from pole position, the Gresini Racing rider completed the 23 laps in 41 minutes and 47.082 seconds.

This achievement was accomplished by the rider nicknamed "The Baby Alien" after a podium drought of almost three years.

Jorge Martin followed in second place, 4.789 seconds behind. Pedro Acosta completed the podium with a third-place finish.

Meanwhile, the reigning MotoGP champion, Francesco Bagnaia, failed to finish due to a collision with Alex Marquez on lap 18.

However, the race result solidified Jorge Martin's position at the top of the 2024 MotoGP standings with 299 points. Martin further extended his lead over Bagnaia, who is in second place with 276 points.

Marquez, the Aragon race winner, moved up to third in the overall standings with 229 points.

The next 2024 MotoGP race will be held at the Misano circuit in San Marino, Italy, from September 6th to 8th, 2024.
