According to a Populix survey conducted in April 2024, 94% of Indonesian consumer respondents had used QRIS for transactions.

Of this group, 65% regularly used QRIS at minimarkets or convenience stores. 61% commonly used QRIS for transactions at restaurants, 55% at malls, 53% at supermarkets, and 27% at stores outside malls.

Furthermore, 17% of respondents regularly used QRIS with street vendors, 15% at beauty clinics, 11% at salons, and 8% at hospitals.

Populix also found that 81% of respondents found it easy to find vendors accepting QRIS payments; 36% stated it was very easy, and 45% said it was easy.

This online survey was conducted by Populix from April 26-29, 2024, involving 1,030 QRIS users across Indonesia.

The majority of respondents were from Java (81%), followed by Sumatra (12%), and other islands (7%). Respondents were predominantly aged 17-25 years (40%) and 26-30 years (22%).
