Indonesia's Non-Oil and Gas Exports to China Soared 70.71% in 2021

China remains Indonesia's largest destination for non-oil and gas exports. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to China reached US$51.1 billion throughout 2021. This figure surged 70.71% compared to non-oil and gas exports throughout 2020, which amounted to US$29.93 billion.

China contributed 23.31% of Indonesia's total non-oil and gas exports throughout 2021. Indonesia's total non-oil and gas exports reached US$219.26 billion last year.

The United States was the second largest destination for Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports. Throughout 2021, non-oil and gas exports from Indonesia to the US reached US$25.77 billion. This figure also increased by 38.4% from 2020.

Furthermore, non-oil and gas exports from Indonesia to Japan were recorded at US$16.87 billion in the same period, up 30.98%. Exports to India reached US$13.06 billion, up 28.3%.

Of the top ten main destinations for Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports, only Singapore recorded a decrease. Throughout 2021, non-oil and gas exports from Indonesia to Singapore were recorded at US$8.09 billion, down 5.13% from the previous year's US$8.53 billion.
