Bali, Ranked the World's 3rd Best Island by Travel and Leisure

New York-based travel media, *Travel and Leisure* (T+L), has released its list of the world's best islands for 2024.

This list is based on a survey of approximately 186,000 of its readers.

T+L readers were asked to rate world tourism destinations based on several criteria, such as the appeal of natural attractions, the activities offered, the friendliness of the locals, and the quality of restaurants or food.

Each respondent could give a rating of "excellent," "good," "average," "below average," or "poor." The final score was then calculated from the average of the ratings given by the respondents.

As a result, Bali is listed as the 3rd best island in the world in 2024 with a score of 93.26 out of 100 points.

This Indonesian island of the Gods is considered to possess an ancestral cultural heritage encompassing traditional ceremonies, ancient temples, and captivating dance performances that attract tourists.

"Beautiful beaches, delicious food, great hospitality," said one respondent in the survey.

Maldives took first place with a score of 95.63 out of 100 points.

The report mentions that the Maldives is home to approximately 3% of the world's coral reefs, making it one of the best snorkeling and diving destinations.
