With this policy, the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) hopes that the Polri can carry out their duties to the best of their ability.
"We also hope that there will be no Polri members or their families showing off luxury," said Kompolnas Commissioner Poengky Indarti, as reported by Detik.com, Tuesday (30/1/2024).
According to her, this could mislead the public into thinking that the welfare of the police is already sufficient.
"Whereas the welfare of Polri members is still insufficient, especially for Tamtama and Bintara," said Poengky.
