Southeast Asian e-commerce platform, iPrice, analyzed the reactions and engagement between Facebook and Twitter users towards the four most visited e-commerce sites in Indonesia. The results show Tokopedia ranked first.

The research shows Tokopedia had the highest Facebook and Twitter engagement, reaching 146,000 engagements. This was followed by Bukalapak with 117,000, Shopee with 96,000, and Lazada with 12,000.

iPrice's research also found that despite having fewer visitors, Bukalapak achieved higher social engagement than Shopee and Lazada.

This finding suggests that Indonesian society appears to have higher enthusiasm for topics related to the development of local e-commerce, such as Tokopedia and Bukalapak, compared to the development of international e-commerce.

The engagement data was collected from Buzzsumo by searching for the top four general stores in Indonesia. Total reactions include comments, shares, and emoji reactions such as "like," "wow," "love," "haha," "sad," and "angry" from Facebook, and shares from Twitter in Q1 2022.
