Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are starting to use marketplaces to sell their products. Citing an AJII survey, 26.58% of MSMEs have accounts on marketplaces.

39.3% of these MSMEs use Shopee to sell their products. This percentage is higher than Tokopedia, which is used by 24.38% of MSMEs.

Furthermore, 14.93% of MSMEs use Lazada, 5.47% use OLX, 4.98% use Bukalapak, 1.49% use Blibli, 0.5% use Akulaku, and 7.46% use other marketplaces.

Although not all use marketplace accounts, 86.05% of MSMEs admit to being dependent on the internet. 41.39% of these MSMEs even claim to be heavily reliant on the internet.

This survey on internet usage by MSMEs was conducted on 525 respondents. The margin of error for this survey is 4.28% with a 95% confidence level.
