A collaborative survey by Kredivo and the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) involving 3,656 Indonesians revealed that almost half, or 1,679 people (45.9%), have used PayLater services.

Of the PayLater-using respondents, 88.8% used the service for online product purchases. PayLater was also used to pay monthly electricity and water bills by 43.8% of respondents.

Furthermore, 42% of respondents used PayLater to buy mobile phone credit and internet data packages, 12% for booking plane or train tickets, and 7.7% for booking hotel rooms.

The survey also found that the most frequently purchased items using PayLater were fashion, household goods, and beauty and personal care products.
