List of Countries Most Frequently Shopping Online, Indonesia Ranked 5th

E-commerce technology significantly facilitates the buying and selling process for various goods and services.

Through e-commerce, people can shop for daily necessities online without having to travel or make physical contact. Transactions can also be carried out practically using cashless systems, and buyers can obtain various promotions such as free shipping, discounts, and others.

According to the *Digital 2022 Global Overview Report*, the countries whose citizens shop online most frequently are:

1. Thailand

According to the survey results, the proportion of internet users in Thailand who regularly shop online every week reaches 45.8%. This is the highest percentage globally.

2. South Korea

After Thailand, South Korea is the second most frequent online shopper, with 43.1% of internet users being e-commerce customers.

3. Mexico

In third place is Mexico. 39.4% of internet users in the country regularly shop for weekly needs online.

4. Turkey

In fourth place is Turkey, with 38.9% of internet users regularly shopping online.

5. Indonesia

Meanwhile, Indonesia ranks fifth as the country that shops online most frequently, with 36% of internet users being e-commerce customers.

Besides the five countries mentioned above, Malaysia and Taiwan are also among the countries that most frequently use e-commerce, with 34.7% of internet users regularly shopping online. This is followed by India at 34.1%, the United Arab Emirates at 33.4%, and Greece at 32.2%.
