Kompas Research and Development recorded Indonesian people's preferences in buying Eid clothing for 2024 through a survey.

The results show that the majority, or 30% of respondents, chose to buy clothes/fashion in modern markets such as malls or supermarkets.

"These shopping places have attractions such as strategic locations, bright and attractive spaces, and comfortable air conditioning," wrote Kompas Research and Development researcher Agustina Purwanti in her report on Thursday (4/4/2024).

Next, 29% of respondents chose to buy Eid clothes in traditional markets, 24.3% in online stores or marketplaces, 1.8% from neighborhood shops, and 0.8% in other places.

Meanwhile, 13% of respondents did not buy new clothes for Eid this year, and 1.6% answered "don't know."

This Kompas Research and Development survey involved 505 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method across 38 Indonesian provinces.

Data collection was conducted from March 18-20, 2024, through telephone interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.36% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
