Survey: Many People Want to Enter the Metaverse for Virtual 'Work'

The Metaverse is a virtual space innovation that is currently captivating many people. This is because the Metaverse is reported to offer many virtual activities with experiences similar to the real world.

Through the Metaverse, users can work, socialize, shop, play games, and even visit historical sites without having to travel physically.

The Saudi Arabian government is even considering a groundbreaking initiative to hold the Hajj pilgrimage in virtual reality (VR) through the Metaverse.

Statista conducted a survey of 1,000 respondents to determine what activities they would like to do in the Metaverse. It turned out that approximately 52% of respondents said they wanted to enter the Metaverse to experience working in a virtual workspace.

48% of respondents wanted to enter the Metaverse to watch live art and entertainment performances in a virtual space. Then 44% said they wanted to invest in cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens.

Furthermore, 40% of respondents wanted to gain learning experiences in the Metaverse virtual space, while 32% of respondents wanted to engage in online dating and socializing.

Finally, 29% of respondents wanted to play games, and another 18% wanted to watch adult entertainment in the Metaverse.
