10 Countries Most Frequently Visiting Pirated Sites in 2025, Indonesia Included

According to a report by Muso, a British anti-piracy company, in 2025, there were 185.6 billion visits to pirated websites worldwide. This figure dropped by 14.2% compared to the previous year.

"This decline is the largest since Muso recorded a decrease during the 2020 pandemic," Muso wrote in a report titled 2025 Piracy Trends and Insight.

In 2025, the United States became the country with the most visits to pirated websites in the world, reaching 19 billion visits, or about 10.24% of total global visits.

Meanwhile, Indonesia ranked fourth with 11.01 billion visits. In addition to Indonesia, a number of Southeast Asian countries also made the list, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

"This situation shows that the limited purchasing power of the public and the still limited availability of legal content catalogs are the main factors driving the high level of piracy activity in regions dominated by internet users using mobile devices," wrote Muso.
