According to the Jakpat survey, there are five e-commerce platforms that are most popularly used by entrepreneurs in Indonesia for sales promotion in early 2026.

Among various e-commerce platforms, Shopee is the most popular for promotion with a percentage of 99%, followed by TikTok Shop at 60%, Tokopedia at 58%, Lazada at 33%, and Blibli at 16%.

Based on generations, Jakpat explained that Gen X entrepreneurs show limited engagement levels due to a relatively low percentage of e-commerce usage.

The percentage of Gen X users who use Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Tokopedia for promotion is all at 36%, while Lazada and Blibli are not used.

Meanwhile, millennial and Gen Z entrepreneurs rely most on Shopee for sales promotion, with a percentage of 100% each.

The second most relied-upon e-commerce platform for promotion among millennials is Tokopedia with a percentage of 62%, while Gen Z prefers TikTok Shop (65%).

The online survey was conducted on February 5-6, 2026 and involved 62 business owners who use paid ads on e-commerce platforms.

The respondents were aged between 17 and 50 years old and came from various regions in Indonesia. The survey's margin of error is below 5%.
