According to Omdia's report, the volume of smartphone shipments in the Southeast Asian market reached 100.2 million units in 2025, a 1% decrease compared to 2024 (year-on-year/yoy).

"This decline is due to the weak performance in the first three quarters of 2025, which weighed on the overall market," Omdia said in its report on Friday (February 13, 2026).

In 2025, Samsung led the smartphone market in Southeast Asia with shipments of 17.9 million units, a 5% increase (yoy).

"This strong performance was supported by the launch of the Galaxy A17 series, which offered significant specification improvements compared to the Galaxy A16 and strengthened Samsung's competitiveness in the affordable price segment," Omdia said.

Next in line was Xiaomi with smartphone shipments of 17 million units, a 4% increase (yoy).

Meanwhile, Transsion's smartphone shipments fell by 8% (yoy) to 16.3 million units; Oppo plummeted by 16% (yoy) to 14.7 million units; and Vivo decreased by 6% (yoy) to 11.9 million units.

The smartphone shipment volume of Xiaomi recorded by Omdia includes the POCO sub-brand. Transsion's figures include TECNO, Infinix, and iTel.

The combined smartphone shipment volume of other brands in Southeast Asia in 2025 reached 22.3 million units, a 9% increase (yoy).
