Samsung Dominates Global TV Market in Q3 2025

According to a TrendForce report, global television (TV) shipment volume reached 49.75 million units in the third quarter of 2025.

The volume grew by 6% compared to the second quarter of 2025 (quarter-to-quarter), but decreased by 4.9% compared to the third quarter of 2024 (year-on-year).

"The decline is attributed to extended TV replacement cycles, increased demand driven by tariff concerns, and the reduced influence of China’s subsidy initiatives," TrendForce stated in its report (November 3, 2025).

In the third quarter of 2025, Samsung dominated global TV shipments with a market share of 17.2%.

It was followed by two Chinese manufacturers, Hisense and TCL, which secured market shares of 15.4% and 14.9% respectively.

According to TrendForce, Hisense managed to reach second place after significantly cutting prices in both domestic and international markets.

LG then achieved a TV shipment share of 11.7%, and Xiaomi 5.1%. Meanwhile, TV shipments from other brands held a 35.7% share.
