Telkomsel to Have the Fastest 5G Internet in Indonesia by Late 2025

According to OpenSignal research, in the period of August 1 - October 29, 2025, Telkomsel became the mobile operator with the fastest 5G internet speed in Indonesia.

Telkomsel has an average 5G internet download speed of up to 76.7 Mbps and an upload speed of 24.4 Mbps.

"Telkomsel widened its lead over competitors in 5G download speed experience thanks to significant speed improvements," said OpenSignal in its Mobile Network Experience Report December 2025.

Next is XL, which has a 5G internet download speed of 48.2 Mbps and an upload speed of 22.22 Mbps.

Then IM3 is in third place with a 5G internet download speed of 43.3 Mbps and an upload speed of 21.1 Mbps.

When viewed from the aspect of 5G network availability, Telkomsel also leads with a score of 19%.

This achievement far surpasses the 5G availability of IM3 and XL, which are only 9.4% and 3.1% respectively.

Availability does not measure how wide an area is covered by the signal, but rather calculates how long users actually get a network connection in places they frequently visit.
