According to Counterpoint data, global smartphone sales in Q3 2025 grew by 4% (year-on-year/yoy).

Based on smartphone operating systems (OS), Android OS smartphone sales still dominated with a 79% share, down 1% compared to Q3 2024.

As for Harmony OS, it achieved a 4% share in Q3 2025. This figure remained unchanged compared to Q3 2024.

However, if only considering smartphone sales in China, Harmony garnered a 14% share, higher than other platforms and remaining the second-largest smartphone OS in the country.

“Huawei's Nova 14 series was a key growth driver, and its foldable phones continued to perform well. However, new devices running Harmony OS Next faced some challenges due to initial ecosystem limitations,” Counterpoint stated.
