According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), compiled by Databoks, Indonesian household expenditure on telecommunications has continuously increased over the last decade.

In 2015, the average household expenditure for telecommunications, including phone payments, mobile phone credit, internet costs, mobile phone purchases, and so forth, was only around Rp121.4 thousand per month.
