According to Counterpoint Research, global smartphone shipments grew by 3% year-on-year (YoY) in Q2 2025.

During the same period, global smartphone revenue reached US$103.04 billion, reflecting strong growth of 10% YoY.

According to Counterpoint, Samsung maintained its top global position in Q2 2025, recording strong shipment growth of 7% YoY.

"The brand built on momentum from Q1, led by the Galaxy S25 series, while the refreshed Galaxy A series stabilized demand in the mid-range market," said Counterpoint.

Regarding regional smartphone shipments, Asia Pacific maintained its leadership, accounting for more than half of global shipments and growing by 2% YoY.

"China experienced a 2% YoY decline due to softening demand, while India rebounded strongly in Q2 2025, growing 9% YoY, supported by healthy 5G adoption and aggressive channel push," explained Counterpoint.
