According to a survey by theAsianparent Insights, the majority, or 61%, of mothers in Indonesia typically shop for their family's needs both offline and online (omnichannel).

Meanwhile, the proportion of mothers who only shop online is 16%, and those who only shop offline is 24%.

When shopping online, Shopee is the primary marketplace choice for mothers, with a percentage of 91%.

Following that are Tokopedia at 56%, TikTok Shop at 56%, Lazada at 51%, and Alfagift at 39%.

"Supermarkets and minimarkets also remain important for mothers, especially for meeting routine and urgent needs," they said.

This survey was conducted in 2024 online using a purposive random sampling method, involving 1,000 respondents and an interview duration of 15-20 minutes.

The criteria for respondents in this survey were women aged 18 to 40 years and older who have children, reside in Indonesia, and represent various socio-economic groups.
