According to a survey by the Indonesian Public Opinion Discussion and Study Group (KedaiKOPI), 86.6% of local respondents had attended a concert or music performance.
Of this group, the majority, or 57.7%, watched concerts less than three times a year.
Then, 31.3% of respondents attended concerts 3-6 times a year, followed by 6.8% attending 7-10 times, and 2.5% more than 10 times a year.
Furthermore, 1.5% of respondents had never attended a concert in the past year, and another 0.2% did not answer.
This survey also found that pop is the most popular music genre among respondents, with a proportion of 85.1%.
The next most popular music genres were rock (41.3%), dangdut (37.7%), classical (22.3%), jazz (21.6%), and K-Pop (21.3%).
KedaiKOPI conducted this survey among 1,065 respondents spread across Indonesia, then narrowed it down to 912 respondents who had attended concerts.
Data collection was conducted from March 27 to April 4, 2025, using the online-computerized assisted self-interview (CASI) method.
Respondents were dominated by millennials at 54.6%, Generation Z at 30.9%, and Generation X at 14.6%.
