A Populix poll shows that 95% of a total of 1,030 respondents admitted to enjoying exercise.
Of this group, the majority, or 42%, prefer to exercise at home.
"The majority preferring to exercise at home supports the idea that people tend to choose convenient and comfortable workouts," wrote Populix in a report titled *Understanding Indonesia’s Sports Trends*.
Next, 23% of respondents enjoy exercising in residential fields. This is followed by sports centers (19%), gyms (9%), stadiums (8%), and other public places (8%).
This survey also recorded that 68% of respondents exercise 1-2 times a week. Then 23% of respondents exercise 3-4 times a week, 3% exercise 5-6 times a week, and only 6% exercise every day.
Populix conducted this online survey from November 13-15, 2024, with 1,030 respondents, then narrowed down to 965 respondents who admitted to enjoying exercise.
The majority of respondents were from Java (74%), followed by Sumatra (15%), and other islands (11%). Respondents were dominated by the 17-25 age group (39%) and the 26-30 age group (24%).
