These Are the Reasons Why Indonesian Citizens Are Interested in Digital Investments

There are various reasons why Indonesian people are interested in digital investments. This phenomenon is recorded in a Populix survey titled *Unlocking Insight Into Digital Investment Trends*.

The survey results show that the main factor driving public interest in digital investment is the ease of making transactions that are unlimited in time and place, stated by 45% of respondents.

Then, 44% of respondents are interested in digital investment because they can start investing with a small model, 39% are interested in long-term profits, and 35% like the quick and easy registration and verification process.

Furthermore, the reasons respondents chose digital investment are related to the ease of access to investment tutorials, investment recommendations from market analysts, the availability of investment webinars, and others as attached in the graph.

However, the Populix survey also screened obstacles in starting digital investment. A total of 33% of respondents are worried about the bankruptcy of investment platforms.

There are also respondents who are worried about high market fluctuations and fear losing their investments; this was stated by 29% of respondents, respectively.

Populix conducted this online survey from June 22-25, 2024, involving 1,024 respondents spread across Indonesia. Respondents consisted of 51% women and 49% men.

The majority of respondents were from Java (80%), followed by Sumatra (12%), and other islands (8%). Respondents were dominated by the 17-25 age group (39%) and the 26-30 age group (23%).
