Survey: Most Indonesian Citizens Have Never Played Online Games

According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and Katadata Insight Center (KIC), the majority of Indonesian people have never played online games.
Of the 10,000 people surveyed, 54.4% admitted to never using the internet to play games.
Furthermore, 9.7% of respondents admitted to having played but very rarely, and 16.6% rarely.
Respondents who frequently use the internet to play games account for 14.3%, while those who play very frequently represent only 5.1%.
This survey was conducted in October 2021 using a face-to-face interview method.
The survey sample comprised 10,000 respondents from 34 provinces and 514 regencies/cities across Indonesia. All respondents were Indonesian citizens aged 13-70 years who had accessed the internet within the last three months.
The survey has a margin of error of +/- 0.98% with a 95% confidence level, using a multistage random sampling method.
