Indonesia's Non-Cash Transactions Still Lag Behind ASEAN

In Grab's For Good report titled *Social Impact Report 2018-2019*, cashless transactions in Indonesia only reached 4% of total transactions. Grab's cashless transactions account for 25% of total cashless transactions in Indonesia. Indonesia's cashless transaction rate lags behind both Vietnam and Singapore.

Cashless transactions in Vietnam reached 11.5% of total transactions, while Grab's transactions in that country reached 35% of total cashless transactions. Singapore's cashless transactions reached 57% of total transactions, with Grab transactions accounting for 77% of total cashless transactions.

Meanwhile, cashless transactions in other Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand are not significantly different from Indonesia, as shown in the graph.
