Household internet usage in Banten reached 78.18% in 2020.

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that household internet usage in Banten Province from 2016 to 2020 increased, both in urban and rural areas, with the gap narrowing each year.

Total household internet usage reached 78.18% in 2020. This figure is up 4.43 percentage points compared to the previous year's 73.75%.

By place of residence, urban household internet usage reached 86.81% in 2020, up 3.24 percentage points from the previous year's 83.57%. Meanwhile, rural internet usage reached 67.19%, up 5.95 percentage points from the previous year's 61.24%.

Individually, internet penetration in Indonesia also continues to increase. The percentage of individuals using the internet reached 53.73% in 2020. This figure increased by 6.04 percentage points compared to the previous year's 47.69%.

The government continues to implement policies to provide equitable internet access to remote areas, ensuring that all citizens have equal access to information. The pandemic has also driven changes in people's lifestyles, as evidenced by the increase in household and individual internet access.
