PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk (PJAA) recorded a net profit attributable to the parent entity of Rp170.80 billion from the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter of 2023.
This figure grew significantly by 130.67% (year-on-year/yoy) compared to the same period last year, which recorded a profit of Rp74.04 billion.
PJAA President Director Winarto stated that this increase was due to the upward trend in the tourism sector, which has recovered since the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The upward trend in the tourism sector is very pleasing. We have learned a lot from the pandemic, where even in difficult conditions throughout 2022, Ancol was able to record a profit with 7.8 million visitors,” said Winarto in his official statement on Wednesday (11/10/2023).
He explained that the surge in visitors to the Ancol area reached more than 8.1 million people from January to September 2023.
Their total revenue reached Rp902.56 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2023. This revenue grew by 43.17% (yoy) compared to the same period last year, which had revenue of Rp630.40 billion.
In detail, the revenue of the issuer with the code PJAA was supported by ticket sales of Rp636.57 billion, or up 44.91% (yoy).
Hotel and restaurant revenue reached Rp65.9 billion, or up 28.33% (yoy), and other business revenue amounted to Rp201.24 billion, or grew by 42.68% (yoy).
