These are the countries with the most Instagram users; where does Indonesia rank?

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms globally, especially among young adults. As of Q1 2021, the number of active Instagram users worldwide reached 1.07 billion, with 354 million users aged 25 to 34.

According to statista.com, India has the highest number of Instagram users globally, reaching 180 million. This is followed by the United States with 170 million users, Brazil with 110 million, Indonesia with 93 million, and Russia with 61 million.

As of July 2021, India had a total of 190.11 million Instagram users, representing 10.4% of its total population. This makes India the largest market for social media platforms like Instagram. The 18-24 age group is the largest user group, with a total of 63 million users.

In Indonesia, the number of Instagram users as of July 2021 was 91.77 million. The largest user group is the 18-24 age group, comprising 36.4% of the total. Instagram ranks third as the most frequently used social media platform, after YouTube and WhatsApp.
